The Collier County Planning Commission has delayed its vote on the One Naples project in North Naples. After the second meeting on Oct 15 to review the mixed use/residential project, the commission decided it needed more time to hear all the arguments on all sides before coming up with a recommendation. The Planning Commission will meet again on Thursday, November 5th to take up the project again.

Planning Commission to hear the ONE Naples Project on October 1, 2020
A public hearing has been scheduled for the Collier County Planning Commission to hear the two applications for rezoning and an amendment to the County’s Growth Management Plan regarding the ONE Naples project. The meeting and hearing has been scheduled for October 1st, 2020, in the Collier County BCC Chambers beginning at 9:00 a.m. One of the notices of the meeting is attached.
Your participation can be either in person, or virtual. For those of you who are up north, or otherwise unable to attend in person, this virtual alternative presents an unprecedented opportunity for you to participate in this process. In addition, you may send in letters or emails expressing your objections, opinions and concerns ahead of time.
We do not yet have access to the staff report regarding the project. We will be forwarding that to you when it’s available.
Note that there are three interrelated applications concerning the project. The request by the developer to vacate approximately 3⁄4 of an acre of County owned streets/roads is scheduled for tentative hearing date in November. The request for privatization of the interior streets is heard only by the County Commission, even though the project as proposed cannot proceed without the vacation of those public roads.
